Melbourne Police Take Heroin and Gun off the Streets

CASE # 17-55836

At the culmination of an extensive investigation targeting drug related crimes involving the sales and distribution of heroin, the Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, with the assistance of the SWAT Team, served a narcotics search warrant in the Wickham Park campground, lot 69. The investigation revealed drug sales were occurring throughout the Wickham Road corridor in North Melbourne. Multiple controlled drug buy operations were conducted, which resulted in drug trafficking charges. One arrest was made, others are pending. Charles Conner was arrested for trafficking in heroin, sale of heroin, and possession of heroin. Conner is currently out on bond for trafficking in a controlled substance.
