Curbside Collection of Fencing & Other Construction and Demolition Material Ends Mar. 30
As of March 30, 2018, Waste Management will conclude regular curbside collection of wood fencing. This fencing, which is defined by Florida state statute as Construction and Demolition (C&D) material, is not a franchised contractual service. C&D is defined as lumber, fencing, docks, plywood, pallets, and associated construction material that would be used to construct a building, house, fence, dock, garage, shed, etc.
Residents who request wood collection after March 30, 2018, are offered the following options:
1) Take the wood to the Cocoa Landfill located at 2520 Adamson Road. Residents can dispose of the wood there themselves at no charge;
2) Initiate Waste Management Bagster service. Bagsters can be purchased at local home improvement retailers and hold up to 3,300 pounds of debris and waste. For more information, visit TheBagster.com or call Waste Management;
3) Establish service with a rolloff service provider;
4) Waste Management can schedule curbside collection upon request for an additional charge.
