  • Plans must indicate the occupancy type for the building.
  • Indicate panel source, circuit number for specific rooms and areas included in scope of work.
  • Submit panel schedule(s) which include system voltage, wattage or amperage, and number of circuits.
  • Load calculations for new construction and existing buildings or structures when increasing the load.
  • Plans not required to be designed by an architect or engineer; the plans shall include the name, signature and license number of the designer.
  • Plans shall state the applicable code versions adopted by the State of Florida according to the date listed on the permit application.
  • Electrical plans must demonstrate compliance with Energy Efficiency Chapter 13 of the Florida Building Code, e.g. voltage drop, lighting control (interior and exterior), space control etc.
  • Locations of all electrical service equipment and panels; showing minimum clearance requirements and permitted locations.
  • A complete riser diagram showing capacity of all service equipment, service entrance conductors, feeders, conductor material types, conduit sizes, types and the grounding electrode system.
  • Interrupting ratings of all overcurrent devices, utility co. fault current letter, and fault current calculations.
  • Conductors protected against overcurrent in accordance with their ampacities.
