Notice: Sign Permit Changes

Effective Mar. 22, 2017, the following changes will take place on all sign permit applications:

Building Signs

One permit will be issued for building signs, regardless of the number of signs being installed. The following information will be required to be submitted:

1)    Two (2) complete sets of drawings showing for each sign being installed

2)    A drawing/plot plan clearly identify the location of each sign on the building

3)    A complete list of UL numbers for each sign

Ground Signs

One permit will be required for each ground sign. The following information will be required to be submitted:

1)    Two (2) complete sets of drawings for each sign being installed

2)    Two (2) full size surveys showing the location of each sign being installed

3)    A complete list of UL numbers for each sign

 

There may be additional requirements that are not listed in this notice. Any other items that are required on the sign permit application must be included.

Canopies/awnings are considered as structures and must be submitted on a building permit application form, one (1) for each structure. Two (2) completed sets of drawings/specs will be required with each application.
