Joanne Corby was elected on November 7, 2006, by the city at large to
serve on the Melbourne City Council as the representative for District
6.

continue to November of 2010.
District Six covers an area that begins at Post Road and extends in a
southeasterly direction to Eau Gallie Boulevard. The district extends
from Stewart Road on the east to Interstate 95 on the west.
Council Member Corby
has been appointed by the City Council to represent Melbourne as a
member of the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization.
She also serves on the Florida League of
Cities Intergovernmental Relations Committee.
Ms. Corby is an
independent business owner bringing more than twenty years of corporate
training and organizational development experience to the City. |

Education and Training:
Council Member Corby is a graduate of Warner Southern College where she
earned a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management. Later she earned a
master’s degree in Public Administration and Human Resource Development from
Webster University.
Community Service:
Council Member Corby is an active member of the community. She’s
volunteered on several boards including Brevard County Charter Review,
Emergency Medical Services Advisory, Community Action Committee, Wickham
Park Advisory, Ascension Catholic School, and Easter Seals.
Personal:
Council Member Corby has been married to Michael since 1985. Michael is the
Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Cocoa. They have three sons, Dustin,
Derek, and David. The Corbys are members of Ascension Catholic Church.
