Mike Nowlin
District 1

Mike Nowlin was elected  to the Melbourne City Council in 2008.  He was elected from Melbourne's District 1, which is the northernmost district stretching from just south of Parkway Drive to the north city limit, and from the Indian River Lagoon to the west city limit. Link to Map of Districts.  His current term continues through November of 2012. 

Council Member Nowlin has worked for Florida Power and Light since 1990 and is currently a Lead Technician responsible for the day to day fleet operation in Brevard County.

Education and Training: Council Member Nowlin graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1976 and attended Brevard Community College.

Community Service:  Prior to his election to the Melbourne City Council, Council Member Nowlin served on the City of Melbourne Zoning Board of Adjustment for ten years.  He also served on the Eau Gallie Little League Board of Directors from 1990 to 1997.  During that time he was President for two years and Vice-President for two years.

Personal: Council Member Nowlin and wife Donna were married in 1980.  They have one son, Mike Jr., who works in Melbourne.
