Sidewalks in the City of Melbourne

Sidewalks provide many benefits. As part of its ongoing efforts to improve pedestrian safety, the City of Melbourne works to install sidewalks in neighborhoods that don't have them. Our employees also work hard to maintain and repair sidewalks that have become uneven or cracked over time.

City Services: Road Improvements and Maintenance

City Engineer James Ennis explains the steps involved in roadway improvement projects and how we plan out roadway maintenance projects to make them as cost-effective as possible. Our City Council has been proactive in dedicating a portion of property taxes to roadway maintenance and roadway care. This helps keep our roads in good shape and minimizes disruption for our residents and businesses.
