Disaster Recovery Center Established for Those Impacted by Hurricane Milton

A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) has opened at 3695 Lake Drive, Cocoa, for Brevard County residents impacted by Hurricane Milton who need help with FEMA disaster assistance. Located in the UF/IFAS Brevard Extension Service parking lot, the center is easily accessible from I-95 and centrally positioned within the county. Hours are Monday–Sunday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Services include:

  • Application status updates
  • Disaster recovery guidance
  • Clarification on FEMA correspondence
  • Housing assistance info
  • Answers, problem resolutions, and referrals to other agencies

If your application has been denied or is facing complications, the center can provide detailed support.

New to FEMA assistance? Register first at DisasterAssistance.gov or call 800-621-3362 before visiting the center.

Documents to bring for registration:

  • Contact info (phone, address, SSN)
  • Household income
  • Damaged address details
  • Description and photos of damaged items
  • Insurance information
  • Bank account/routing numbers for direct deposits
