The Citizens' Advisory Board serves as the formal means through which active citizen participation is provided to aid in the planning, oversight and evaluation of federal- and state-funded housing and community development programs that benefit and improve low- and moderate-income persons and neighborhoods in the City of Melbourne. The board also recommend priorities for allocation of housing and community development program funds for projects that benefit low- and moderate-income persons to aid in the elimination or prevention of slums and blight. Must be a resident of Melbourne.

The board meets the first Monday of each month in the City Hall Council Chamber.
