Promotes, protects and improves the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and enhances property values by enforcing City codes; applies appropriate remedies; and promotes compliance. Activities include the imposition of fines and other non-criminal penalties where a pending or repeated violation continues to exist. Must be resident of Melbourne. Completion of Financial Disclosure Form is required following appointment (annual requirement).

The board meets approximately every six weeks, 6:00 p.m., Council Chamber.
