Accident Reports

Accident reports are available for the current year plus three years prior. The reports are exempt from disclosure for the first 60 days after the date of the accident. They may be released to parties involved in the accident, their legal representatives, and their insurance companies with a written sworn statement during that period of time.

Crime Reports

Crime reports are generally available for the current year plus eight years prior. The reports are generally available the day after the incident, however, this may be affected by various circumstances.  Not all crime reports are available (an ongoing criminal investigation, for example), and not all information is available (juvenile information, for example).

Fees

Copies of records are free of charge for 10 pages or fewer. If the record exceeds 10 pages, the charge is $0.15 for single-sided copies, and $0.20 for double-sided copies.
