Notice To Citizens: Brevard County Home Consortium 2023-2028 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Plan  

Brevard County (County) and the Brevard County HOME Consortium are the recipients of federal grant funds through programs administered by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These federal grants include the HOME Investments Partnership (HOME) Program and the Community Development Block Program (CDBG).  These programs are designed primarily to assist the County’s low-and moderate-income residents. The Consortium is composed of the County, as lead agency, and the cities of Titusville, Cocoa, Melbourne, and Palm Bay.  

Plan Purpose

The 2023-2028 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Plan was developed through collaborative efforts from County and City staff, local and community-based non-profits, and for-profits; as well as residents. Efforts included a needs assessment survey, community and neighborhood meetings, and stakeholder meetings that were conducted throughout the County to identify goals, priorities, and activities to be included in the Plan.
