2.2 Disability Accommodations

The City is committed to complying with all federal and state disability laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Florida Civil Rights Act (FCRA). Qualified applicants or employees who have a disability should notify Human Resources to discuss an accommodation. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions to hold a position.

The accommodation process is interactive. The City will consider employee requests for accommodation and may also make recommendations to the employee for consideration. 

If an employee is interested in changing positions as a possible accommodation, the employee must complete an application through the City’s application and applicant tracking program for a posted position to be considered.
